Not WHAT our dogs barked at, although that is important.
But WHY they barked.
What did they want to achieve?
What was the purpose of the bark?
- Was it to make someone go away?
- To get something faster?
- To tell you there was something going on?
- To get rid of excess energy?
Or was it something else?
Because when we understand what our dogs are trying to achieve by barking, when we make sense of what's going on inside our dog's head...we can begin to find ways to help them.
